As is the case with all of our beds, a foundation or boxspring is NOT required because we use 12 strong southern yellow pine bed slats to provide a solid foundation. This bed frame is super strong, durable, ecofriendly, AND we back it with a 10Year Warranty. This Bed is constructed of High Quality, Ecofriendly Southern Yellow Pine, and then we apply an Ecofriendly DARK Brownish Reddish Water based Stain to the Bed. PLEASE NOTE: The product is given color through the staining process, but we DO NOT apply any type of Clear Protective Top Coat to the product. Please contact us for clarification of the staining process if you have questions, as this will not be the same as a finished product.
